ABP sponsored Ferrybank GAA Weekly Notes



JUNIOR HURLING:
Our Junior hurlers are back in Championship action this coming Friday night August 11th with a home game against St. Saviours in John J Murphy sponsored competition at 7:15pm. This will be a tough test for the team, and your support will be welcomed on the night.

UNDER 16 HURLING:
Ferrybank’s Under 16 hurlers are back in action this coming Wednesday night with a home game against Cois Bhride at 7pm. Having got back to winning ways last time, the lads will want to maintain their Championship challenge with another win, and your support will be welcomed.

MINOR HURLING:
No joy for the combined Ferrybank/Erin’s Own side as they went down narrowly to Roanmore last Wednesday night in Cleaboy on a scoreline of 3-07 to 2-07.

BAG PACK FUNDRAISER:
The club are holding a bag pack in Dunnes Stores, City Square on Friday 18th and Saturday 19th August from 10am-6pm.  As we all know volunteers will be needed, so if you have a couple of hours to help out on either days, it will be very much appreciated. DÉISE DRAW:
The fourth Déise Draw of 2017 will take place this coming Wednesday 9th August in Abbeyside, and let’s hope we can have some more winners on the night. A huge thanks to all who have purchased tickets for the draw. Congratulations to Fran Freeman who was the confined winner for July.

CLOTHING COLLECTION:
The Clothing collection is still continuing, right up to the 12th August. So, if you have any of the following lying around at home that you want to get rid of, please drop them down to the club....

- Belts
- Handbags
- Curtains
- Soft Toys
- Mobile Phones *
- Laptops *
* Mobile phones and laptops to be kept in a separate bag please.

COUNTY DUTY:
Best of luck to Mark O' Brien and the Waterford Senior hurling team as they play Cork in the All Ireland Senior hurling semi-final this coming Sunday at Croke Park.

KELLOGG’S CÚL CAMP:
Next Monday 14th August, sees the start of the Kellogg’s Cúl Camp taking place in the Ferrybank GAA grounds from 10am until 2:30pm. The camp runs right up until Friday, and is open to primary school children aged between 6-13 years of age.
