ABP sponsored Ferrybank GAA Weekly Notes

UNDER 11 HURLING:
Well done to our U11 hurlers who won the tournament staged in Ferrybank last Saturday morning. The lads defeated Mount Sion in an epic final. Thanks to Mount Sion, Carrick Swans, Clan Na Gael Glenmore and Passage for coming along to take part.
This U11 team has enjoyed a great season and it was fantastic to see them round off 2017 with some silverware. The lads recently only lost out by a single point to the famed Sixmilebridge club in the Tommy Burtchaell Cup final recently held in Na Piarsaigh, Limerick; which shows the level that these young hurlers are operating at. Paul Sutton, John Haley and Brian Kelly have this team playing some smashing stuff – keep the great work going!
Thanks also to the folks who kindly looked after the catering needs last Saturday!

UNDER 15 HURLING:
Our Under 15 hurlers are scheduled to play Stradbally in the County Final on November 11th.

UNDER 5/6 HURLING:
The Under 5/6 hurling has now finished for the year, and will resume again in early 2018. A huge thanks to all the kids who came along and enjoyed every Saturday morning, and also to the trainers for the time, effort and commitment they gave to the Kids.

DÉISE DRAW:
With the Déise Draw of 2017 finished for another year, the club would like to thank everyone for purchasing tickets during the year, and it was great to see we had many winners throughout the campaign. Congratulations to Brian Richards who was the confined winner for October.

JUNIOR HURLING:
Our Junior Hurlers will play the winners of St. Saviours or St. Mollerans in the final of the John J Murphy sponsored competition.
