GREYHOUND NIGHT:
Our annual dog night fundraiser, in association with
Surehaul and Rolor Commercials, took place in Kilcohan Park last Saturday night;
a great night was had by all. A good crowd travelled over, and witnessed plenty
of thrills and spills during the racing, with some going home with a few bob in
their pocket.
As we all know, a tremendous effort has gone into making
this a successful night, and Ferrybank GAA club would like to thank Dan O'
Connor of Surehaul & Rolor Commercials for sponsoring the night.
The main gate prize, which once again was kindly sponsored
by Sean Power and his staff at Harvey trave,l Gladstone St., was won by Nicola
Reilly, with Jim Flynn winning the attic Stairs and fitting, kindly sponsored
by Murphy & Larkin Carpentry, and Colette Clarke winning the meat voucher,
kindly sponsored by Michael Dunphy Meats.
Also thanks to our advertisers who sponsored our programme,
people who bought tickets, and also people who nominated a dog on the night. A
big thank you also to Carl Pallas and his staff at Kilcohan Greyhound stadium
for their assistance in helping this event run smoothly. Once again, many
thanks to everyone.
