ABP sponsored Ferrybank GAA Weekly Notes

MEMBERSHIP:
With the playing season shortly upon us, it’s that time of the year again with the membership now due for both Adults and Juveniles. We would ask all players to pay their membership as soon as possible. Adults €70. Student/Unwaged/Associated member €30. For the Juvenile section, its €30 for the first child and €10 for each additional child.

COUNTY DUTY:
It was a busy weekend for some of our local players who were on inter-county duty last Sunday afternoon. Well done to Iona Heffernan and Niamh Ahearne who represented the Waterford Senior Camogie team that defeated Dublin in Carriganore, and also to Mark O' Brien who was involved with the Waterford Senior Hurlers that went down to near neighbours Kilkenny in the Allianz league.

UNDER 8 HURLING:
Our Under 8 hurlers made the trip to Ballygunner last Saturday morning to play three games; winning two and losing one. This was a great effort from the players, and no doubt the managers were delighted with their performance.

INTERMEDIATE HURLING COUNTY LEAGUE:
Ferrybank will compete in the All-County Intermediate hurling league and have been paired with Brickey Rangers, Ballysaggart, Clonea and St. Molleran’s.

ANGELA BURNS MEMORIAL 10K:
The Angela Burns Memorial 10K Fun Run / Walk will take place on Sunday 22nd April at 11am from the Ferrybank GAA grounds. Entries are now been taken on http://www.totaltiming.ie/event/angela-burns-memorial-10k-2018/. Its €15 for runners (chipped) and €10 for the walkers.

CÚL CAMP:
The Cúl Camp will take place in the Ferrybank GAA grounds from August 13th-17th.

GAELIC FOR MOTHERS & OTHERS:
Training continues this coming Monday night at 8pm in the Ferrybank GAA grounds, involving Mothers & Others to learn and play Ladies Gaelic Football. It’s fun football for past players and beginners. You need to be over 18 years of age and not a registered player. This is a great concept, and everyone is welcome to come along, and enjoy a fun filled night.

DÉISE DRAW:
The Déise Draw 2018 will once again commence in May and will continue for six months, with each draw costing €15. It’s the same format as last year, with 20 cash prizes up for grabs each month, and we would ask everyone associated with the club to support this draw.

CLOTHES COLLECTION:
Clothes Collection is still running folks (and will be all year round). So if you have any of the following lying around the house...
- Clothes
- Paired Shoes
- Belts

- Curtains
- Soft Toys
