Ferrybank GAA - Weekly Notes



INTERMEDIATE HURLING:
Ferrybank Intermediate hurlers have been paired with Ballygunner, Mount Sion, Clonea, Dunhill, and Erin’s Own in this year’s championship. The top four teams qualify for the quarter-finals. The opening game is provisionally pencilled in for w/e 8th May.

JUNIOR HURLING:
The Junior hurlers have been grouped with Ballyduff Lower, Butlerstown, St. Mollerans, St. Saviours, Kilmacthomas, Fenor and St. Pauls with the top four teams qualifying for the next round.

JUNIOR FOOTBALL:
In the Junior Football proper, Ferrybank will play Mount Sion, Roanmore, St. Pauls, Ballyduff Lower, Kill, Portlaw, Bonmahon and De La Salle with the top two teams going straight to the semi-finals, and the next four teams playing in quarter-finals.

UNDER 21 HURLING:
The Under 21 hurlers will be teaming up with Erin’s Own in this year’s Championship.

ANGELA BURNS MEMORIAL 10K:
The Angela Burns Memorial 10K Fun Run will take place on Sunday April 24th at 11am. This is a hugely popular event, and with a bit of a stretch in the evenings, now is the time to get yourself out and about. Ferrybank Road Runners meet in the GAA field every Tuesday and Thursday night at 7pm, and everyone is most welcome to come along and enjoy a leisurely run.

Ferrybank GAA - Weekly Notes



AGM:
The club held its AGM last Thursday in the Parish Hall.  Comprehensive detailed reports were given by the Treasurer, Secretary, and Chairman on the night. No doubt another challenging year lies ahead for the club, but with excellent hard working people on board, they will ensure the club can move forward in the right direction. The following officers were elected for the coming year;

Ferrybank GAA - Weekly Notes



FERRYBANK GAA CLUB AGM:
The Club will have its Annual General Meeting on Thursday 28th January at 8pm in the Parish Hall. We are asking all club members and intending members to attend and reflect on last year’s activities, and also to vote in the new club officers and committee for the year ahead.
If you feel you have something to contribute to the various activities Ferrybank compete in, from hurling, football and fundraising, then please come along and get involved in driving the club forward in 2016. Many hands make light work!

ANGELA BURNS MEMORIAL 10K RUN/WALK:
The Angela Burns Memorial 10K Run/Walk will take place on Sunday April 24th, so now is the time to get out and about and prepare yourself for this popular event.

CLUB AGM:

COUNTY DUTY:
Congratulations to Mark O' Brien who lined out for the Waterford Senior Hurlers in their Munster Senior League match against Clare in Carraiganore last Sunday.

WATERFORD GAA SEASON TICKET:
With the GAA season just upon us, the 2016 Waterford GAA Season Ticket is now available from Elvery's Sport shop - Michael Street, Walsh Park, Ger Wyley’s Sports Shop Dungarvan. Ticket prices are €100 for Adults & €65 for OAPs.

BON VOYAGE:
Best of luck to Orla O' Neill, who is moving to Toronto this week. Orla has been a fantastic asset to our Junior Camogie Team over the past number of years and will be sorely missed by everyone involved with the Camogie Club. We wish her every success with her move.
